Petra Group started in Sydney in 1988 with a simple idea: a cafe or restaurant owner should be able to get everything for their venue from one team they trust.
No juggling a designer, a joiner, an equipment supplier and five trades who have never met. Just one accountable team, from the first sketch to the first coffee.
That idea grew into two businesses under one roof in Lansvale. Petra Group designs and builds hospitality venues, and our sister business, Design Choice Hospitality, imports, manufactures and supplies commercial catering equipment. Together we take care of the layout, joinery, stainless steel, equipment, signage and approvals.

We plan your layout around how your venue actually runs, from customer flow at the counter to the order of stations on the line, and you see it in 3D first.
Our own workshop
Custom joinery and stainless steel benches, sinks, shelving, canopies and bars are made in-house, so we control quality and timing.
Equipment from our showroom
Ovens, fryers, refrigeration, display cabinets, dishwashers and coffee equipment from leading brands, at competitive prices.
Full shop fittings
Joinery, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, flooring, ceilings and exhaust hoods, all coordinated by one project manager.
Approvals handled
Council documentation (DA or CDC) and design to AS 4674-2004 for food premises, plus ventilation, grease trap and accessibility requirements.
Support after opening
Installation, demonstrations, servicing and parts, so your kitchen keeps running long after handover.

How long has Petra Group been in business?
Petra Group was established in Sydney in 1988. We have delivered more than 70 hospitality fitouts across Australia.
How is Petra Group related to Design Choice Hospitality?
They are sister businesses under one roof in Lansvale. Petra Group designs and builds hospitality venues, and Design Choice Hospitality supplies the commercial catering equipment, stainless steel and furniture that go into them.
Where is your showroom?
Our showroom is at 5/62 Hume Hwy, Lansvale NSW 2166, open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Book a visit and our team will show you around.
Do you only work in Sydney?
We are based in Sydney and fit out venues across Greater Sydney. We also deliver projects and equipment to clients across Australia.
What can you do in-house?
Design and layout, custom joinery, stainless steel fabrication, catering equipment supply, signage and branding, and project management. Licensed trades complete the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and ventilation work under one contract.
